Establishing a new country is something difficult and quite remarkable to do In order to build something that will last a long time you need to have a strong foundation a good base That is just what the US Constitution is a strong piece of work that set the standards of the most powerful country to be The Constitution of the United States of America is one of the most important and well thought-out documents brainstormed and written by 55 of the best-educated white men which up to this day is applied and enforced when governing One might argue the terms and conditions back then were different and dont apply today therefore the Constitution has lost value What we can argue is what difficulties were endured and what changes occurred over timeThe Constitution was written on 1787 and ratified on 1788 in Philadelphia its purposed was to replace the Articles of Confederation which didnt give the people much say in government The ideology and influence back then was different they were fresh out of war and the Enlightenment ideology had passed on from Europe One of the main influences from the Enlightenment is John Locke who expressed the idea of popular sovereignty is the principle that the authority of the government is created and sustained by the consent of its people Rule by the People who are the source of all political power Setting up a new government and country wasnt easy at all especially a democracy The United States would be an example to other non-democratic countries around the world The Constitution goes into depth and detail All possible occur able problems were thought out and put in document The checks and balances were established after the Virginia and New Jersey plans so no one branch of government had too much power Another problem faced was the smaller states were afraid of not having enough say that larger states would over power them
