Abortion is a topic that is discussed numerous times through the media government and college debates Its a never-ending tug of war On a daily basiss multiple women have abortions for numerous reasons Jacqui Morton a pro-lifer was devastated when she heard her unborn daughter had Trisomy 18 Trisomy 18 is when every cell has an extra copy of the 18 chromosome Its a very rare disease which means only half of the pregnancies will result in live births Half of those live births will not live past the first week and only 10 percent will have a first birthday Jacqui and her husband were tormented but felt it would be best to terminate the pregnancy early to save much grief As a pro lifer an abortion will go against Jacquis beliefs but either way there will be no happy ending Abortions tend to be a debate that cant be easily won by either side A lot of issues arise and each person has to decide how they view abortion Three issues frame the debate over abortion when does life begin women control over their bodies and moral issuesThe debate between abortions has always started out with when does life begin The argument is always left at a standstill Pro-lifers argue that abortion as a form of genocide According to Thefreedictionarycom Genocide is the systematic and widespread extermination or attempted extermination of an entire national racial religious or ethic groupThe American heritage1 Most people may think genocide is a bit extreme when its being compared to the holocaust Sadly that is not the case around forty six million babies has been aborted around the world Abortion may not be national ethic racial or religious but pre-borns are humans too Many pro-lifers believe that if a woman can terminate her pregnancy later in the second or third trimester then how is it different if she decides to terminate her toddler or teenager The number
