Chirstmas is something that is worldwide christmas bring joy toeveryone around the world But americas traditions is diffrent fromdiffrent countries One of the countries Im gonna tell you about isFrance France has many similarities and diffrents from our tradition inamerica Im going to tell you both the similaritys and diffrents First Im gonna tell you the diffrentes In america we call christmaswell christmas but in France they call it Noel Also we have santa France has Pere noel Our santa is is fat and kinda tall but Pere noelis tall and skinnyFrance has even more diffrences from americaschristmas also In america we leave cookes and milk for santa but inFrance they will leave their food and drinks from their meal out in caseVirigin Mary calls inAnother thing is that Everyone gets gifts onChristmas day In America But In the north of France children aregiven gifts on December 6 which is St Nicholas Day instead ofChristmas Day The adults give each others presents on New Years DayWeleave stocks out for santa in america But Children in France leavetheir shoes or wooden clogs called sabots in the hearth for the ChristChild or Pere Noel to fill Not only that but We have a dinner around5-10 in America In france they call theirs Le reveillon is a very latesupper held after midnight mass on Christmas Eve Which is much laterthen our dinner As you can tell americas and france version ofchristmas may be diffrent but they are also alike in some ways to Firstlike Americas Christmas on the day after get up in time to watch thechildren find their Chirstmas presents under the tree and unwrap themwith excitement Also we both have a family gathering with a niceevening meal near christmas time And dont forget that we writeletters to Santa Which like us they have the children prepare theirletter to le Pere Noel
