The transition from high school to college is a very drastic yet most often welcome change for many students When enrolling into a college the student can conveniently schedule his or her classes to work around there daily life Further simplifying life the student may choose which courses he or she would like to take Quite the opposite of college high schools have very fixed hours Having a set amount of hours in a high school day it is imperative that the schools also have a set number of daily classes to fulfill the hours-required quota College bound students have many choices on where they can attend school Further more money plays a tremendous role for a student often determining weather or not he or she is even able to attend college at all On the other hand high school students are assigned a specific district according to where he or she lives in relation to the school Also if a high school student chooses to attend a public school which is fund ed by the government money is not an issue for the simple fact that public school is free In many college courses there is a maximum number of absences allowed If the student chooses to exceed this set number of absences then he or she must face the consequence of being expelled from that particular class However if a college student is absent and his or her teacher has prepared a syllabus for the course a student may have the chance to make up his or her work Contrary to colleges high schools have a maximum number of absences allowed before a student will fail the class he or she has declined to attend If a high school student is absent he or she must have a good reason to obtain an excused status for every specific absence allowing the students to make up all missed work Despite the numerous distinguishable differences
