From February 2012 I became the permanent member of the core testing team of Network Access Request Form NARF NARF is a web-based application that allows employer to submit the requests to create enable disable or move staffs accounts NARF was introduced to Network Administration Team NAT team as a first step towards Innovation and Information Technology Branchs IITB strategic goal of processing service requests in a streamlined and automated manner My role was to collaborate with teams of developers testers and technicians My duties as a tester included testing the application in specified timeframes on daily basis report the findings errors and bugs on a technicians and clients sides of the applicationThis is the one vivid example of how I typically handle mandates and projects that I am being engaged with on a regular basis over the duration of last three years in NATIn August 2012 I assumed responsibility for 2 weeks to coordinate efforts and act as liaison between the testing team 6 people technicians 15 people and developers 2 persons by volunteering to be the center point of the project while the NARF Project Coordinator PC and Team Leader TL were on leave The daunting task not many people were willing to doMy role was to act a liaison between developers testers and technicians and the goal was to test NARF gather errors and bugs and report them to developers by August 3rd so they will have a sufficient time to fix the most major issues by August 17th when the release had go to Quality Assurance QA team While working with both teams I determined that there was a lack of communication between developers and testers the reported issues were often left unaddressed or overlooked I built understanding relationship across the teams of developers and testers when I contacted the developers of the application and discussed their preference on how they wanted to have the reports presented
