Jenn's feedback:
"This paper is off to an excellent start. Since you have an introduction with a clear thesis statement, it is clear what the purpose of your essay is. I suggest that your thesis statement either starts or ends your introduction to be more prominent and does not get lost in the text. Because you have a thesis statement, it is also clear that you remained focused on the purpose throughout your writing. You also did an excellent job with writing conventions. There are very few word choice, grammar, and sentence structure errors in the document. You are off to a great start with the formatting of the paper. The only issue I found throughout the text was extra spacing between paragraphs. The real formatting issues arise when it comes to the references. Depending on the writing style that you are using, you either need to title it "Bibliography" or "Works Cited." Also, the references should be aligned with the rest of the text and should have hanging indents. Regarding the content of your paper, there is a lot of factual information used to support the points you are trying to make. I recommend that you make sure that you cite everything that you used from other texts to avoid plagiarism issues. Also, there is a lack of cohesion throughout your writing. You can resolve this by adding transition words, phrases, and sentences that create relationships between ideas. Last, you can improve the organization of your paper by writing a more robust conclusion. The conclusion should summarize the main points you made in your essay's body and relate them to the thesis statement."
