It's unnecessary to state that what you're writing is "from [your] point of view" or otherwise hedging your arguments.
Organization is the key concern for this paper. Many paragraphs seem to wander (for example, the discussion about how long these two cultures might have remained ignorant of each other is confusing and seems out of place). Consider creating an outline for your essay with each paragraph covering a specific topic. Try to avoid conversational language and instead state the facts in a logical, objective manner."
