The Hunger Games is a competition among children between the ages of 12 to 18 years old The competition prepares children to defend themselves from eachother and variety of natural disasters that needs to be prepared to fight and defend There are 24 of us and only 1 comes out alive There was a young confident girl named Primrose Everdeen who has a brave sister named Catness She always had confidence that her younger sister could make it through anything Before the assembly Catness was trying to attempt her little sister by saying its your first year Prim your name has only been in there once there not going to pick you They both walked into the to the assembly firmly by holding hands assuming that Prims name isnt going to be picked As the Hunger Games assembly began Effie Trinket who is the announcer said ladies first and digs her hand deep into the bowl and pulls out a slip of paper she crosses back to the podium smooths the slip of paper the crowd takes a deep breath Catness felt sick and assuming her name isnt picked Effie Trinket read out the name in a clear voice Primrose Everdeen Catness let out a intent breath saying its not me its Prim Catness was stunned and terrified she didnt know what to do Once Catness sacrificed to be a tribute the announcer Effie Trinket was certain to draw another name form the hat to see who will join her she unrolled the piece of paper walked to the podium and announced Peeta Mellark Catness remembered this strong brave boy from when she was young When she was about 11 years old and with Prim just 7 there parents passed away so Catness was determined to take a big step and become the head of the family Considering that they were still young they got stepparents and these stepparents were very lazy
