Everyone has a family usually a couple gets together and has kids in order to fill the emptiness in side of them or simply because its what tradition says One of the main factors of a family is socialization and being together however being in situations where everything changes and people are trying to reinvent themselves that the family that once was so strong will forever change In the case of immigration people are moving to ultimately reinvent themselves and they cant do that with the reminder of their family so relationships sway and soon become weak and distant Although Immigration does not have a simple definition either it differs person to person Yes people leave their country and go to a new country looking for a better life but sometimes the difficulties in the new home may be worse than the original ones For example throughout the books Ive read and movies Ive seen the main aspect is pain in the families The family relationships suffer most for immigrants the ultimate goal is to fit in and adapt to culture however this is pretty hard when youre surrounded by people who are reminders of your old culture Their social relationships and ties will be broken through the process Henry park in Native Speaker wanted to be white so desperately and his father reminded him of her Asian culture and this damaged their relationship greatly Henry searched for a way in to the American culture and he found one through Leila a strong white woman Henry and his friends would listen to the earnest attempts of their talk the bits of their stilted English I know I would have ridiculed them when I was young I would cringe and grow ashamed and angry at those funny tones of my father and his workers all that Konglish Spanglish Jive337 During Henrys childhood he wished his father wasnt so Asian he wanted to be white
