A Fully Imagined World by Michael Nye This story is indeed an imagined world that we all have at one pointin time Everybody dreams of something they long for or think about howthings could be different in their lives if they made different decisionsA Fully Imagined World by Michael Nye is a story that incorporateshumiliation disappointment and loss of focus It is a story that one canrelate to at some point in life Nye writes in a way that the story is verydescriptive so it is easily connected to The two parts in the stories tiein with each other to give the entire writing a powerful feel of what ourmemory truly holds Nye writes in a way that he conveys the struggle in having a vibrantmemory that takes over ones mind The memory of someone that holds a placein your soul and affects even your present when they arent a part of yourlife anymore He depicts the main character Kyle in a way that he isfaced with a memory of this woman and in that instance of seeing herforgets about everything in his current life even his young daughter Thisdirectly simulates the main point of the story and the overall theme of thepower of ones memory A very significant point in this story is the fact that Serena thewoman Kyle has the memory of and sees does not recall him or the timesthey shared This hits Kyle like a ton of bricks and physically affectshim This encounter disappoints him because of the fact that he remembersthe night they had together vividly even after he marries and has a childwith someone else He held this memory in a special place when Serenasimply dismissed it and forgot it even took place
