As I fell to the ground I went into shock How could this be Was I dreaming I felt the pounding of my heart and an adrenaline rush run through my body but I was in disbelief Had my brother truly punched me I felt the beat of my heart on my right cheek right were I had received the jab from my brother Although it was not a hard punch tears rolled down my eyes Not so much because of pain but because the punch had came from my closest brother The events that occurred before this life changing moment and the events afterwards were the cause of dramatic change in my lifeGrowing up I was a role model child I was always the quiet type and obedient to everything my parents told me I obtained good grades in school and never got into any kind of trouble however once I reached thirteen years my attitude changed for the worse Unfortunately the youngest of my brother who is 6 years older than me had been struggling with drugs and bad influences for about 5 years My mother Teresa was devastated and devoted all her time and energy trying to set my brother straight I guess it was easy for me to try to follow in my brothers footsteps Honestly I do not know what went through my head since I knew how much that was affecting my family but I think it may have been the influences of the friends I had My parents were not too involved in what I did in school or whom I had as friends They were raised very differently and did not have any idea of what society is like here in the United States They had strict rules such as no bringing friends over no being able to go to parties no sleepovers wear conservative clothes according to them nothing that may look like you worship the
