Sports may tend to have a positive influence on children that practice them during their lifetime however there is the question whether the student wants to participate or not being a requirement is essentially forcing the student to commit to a sport over all it seems to have mostly beneficial long term effects to have this requirement Team sports help develop a sense of teamwork being that in all of these if one of the players does not comply as expected the team suffers and thus they are taught to expect the rest of the team to do their part as well as having to do theirs having this will certainly help them in the career field in the future as for one on one sports would build the confidence and allow them to be more determined which is also useful in the future competitive worldFighting Childhood obesity keeping a child active seems to be more and more difficult thus requiring certain sports would help at least make sure that student is getting X amount of exercise a week further more if the student finds that there is one that heshe likes that would contribute to the students health and physical development Children that are reluctant to do sports might even find one that suits them and might even excel at this sport being able to get to know various sports might encourage students on moving on one not to mention other benefits for example research shows that your brain works best
