In N Out promises their employees the opportunity to have their schedules be set up according to ones personal life however every manager has a different perspective on how to run the store If each manager and employee were to be on the same plan with schedules then employees wouldnt get irritated with the fact of never having a stable schedule Each month In N Out has a store meeting where all managers and employees of the store come together to discuss the pros cons and issues at the store If the schedule issue were to be discussed at one of these meetings then that would be a great way to see how each employee reacts to this problem This problem wont be fixed over night The managers and older employees have gotten used to the same routine where asking an employee to stay longer isnt even a thought because courtesy has gone out the window At In-N-Out there are about 4 managers for each store There is one general manager and then three shift managers The general manger is assigned to work with the employees on setting up the schedules The general manager has a one on one with the employees and knows what their responsibilities are outside of work When an employee sees ones schedule posted every week one decides how to set up their personal life around their work schedule When employees are scheduled to clock out at a certain time it is for a reason At In-N-Out we sometimes have to stay 2 or 3 hours longer than the time assigned to clock out which is an exaggeration Making each shift manager respect each employees work schedule is how this situation will change employees attitude towards workMy solution to having stable hours at work is simple if the manager needs a certain amount of employees to work each shift then the schedules should be set up that way I know
