"This essay shows good control of the historical details and the wider narrative, drawing connections over context and impact to show the reader the overall timeline and effects. The discussion moves forward logically, with clear signposting and check-ins for the reader, and the reference to sources helps guide the reader's experience with the paper's ethos and credibility. You will want to tidy up some errors in this regard: place the periods after the citation following a direct quotation, just like the citations after your summary/paraphrases.
My main comment is regarding fairly frequent mechanics errors and diction issues. While these do not tend to entirely obscure meaning, they do disrupt the reading experience and impugn authorial ethos. In addition to errors and word usage, watch out for clarity of pronouns (e.g., "its educational right," second sentence)."
