Pop Star Psychology by Sandra Czaja has shown me both sides of negativity and positivity of the media It influences children of every age group especially the ones that reaches nine years old and higher If I were told to choose a side whether the media is a good influences or a bad one I would choose the side that says that the media has more negativity then positivity on children of all ages There are four reasons why I chose this side is because of sexual relations on screen violence drug and smoking shows the impact it has on a child Their mindset starts to change about a lot of things in their life meaning that they start to open up more to any situations Their brain is filled with so much information that can harm them or kill them For example sex on screen is mostly shown in movies than on TV shows its not appropriate for kids to be watching and most kids enjoy watching grown up show and movies more than they like watching Disney channel and Nick Jr These channels are mostly for the age group of 9 and upWhen parents allow their children to have the freedom to watch anything that they find amusing Kids find a lot of enjoyment on watching grown up movies because they learn from it and find a lot of information Sandra interviewed young viewers as she was doing a study about a TV series called Friends The show is based on four friends that goes through a lot of difficulty with sex relationships drama and smoking One young viewer that Sandra interviewed said that they learned about how to communicate with your partner about safe sex When kids tends to get an information they usually decided to experience it in order to see how it feels or what they can gain from
