Includes a work cited page and parenthetical documentation Over 4000 children are killed by abortion in the US every day Every 20 seconds 1 fetus is aborted Think about this every 1 in 4 in our generation is not living because they were killed before they were born There has been great controversy concerning the subject of abortion The banning of abortion to some is considered unconstitutional However some feel it is morally wrong to kill an unborn child I am among those who feel that abortion is both morally and ethically wrong I do feel however that there are exceptions and cases in which abortions should be permitted such as rape victims incest victims and a pregnancy in which the child or mother is in danger However I have decided to come up with a general argument for why abortion is morally and ethically wrong Abortion has many adverse effects not only does it destroy the potentiality of a human life but it also affects the pregnant woman getting the abortion As humans there are certain natural laws that apply to all of us We are all raised on the common moral principle that It is always wrong to take a human life Many pro-abortionists argue that the fetus is neither human nor alive However I feel this statement is false The fetus is in fact both human and alive with a heartbeat The fetus heartbeat begins between the eighteenth and the twenty-fifth day after conception Abortion Information you can use Still many argue that the fetus lacks certain human characteristics Well some people on this earth lack certain human characteristics as well but it isnt right to kill them is it Although the fetus lacks certain characteristics it possesses many key characteristics of humans For example the fetus develops arms legs fingers toes a neck and ears within the first trimester Satris 98 Not only does the fetus strongly resemble a human
