The Questionable Morality of Doctor Victor Frankenstein in Mary Shelley's Gothic Novel Frankenstein

This is a persuasive essay in which the author discusses how it would not be morally right for Dr. Victor Frankenstein to create a second monster. Frankenstein has to fight the internal moral battle of whether he should create another monster in an effort to save his family or not create another one to save society.

"You have done a great job including a number of different instances in which Frankenstein had to question his morality. You also did a good job reflecting how he not only had to deal with conflict revolving around his own family but also all of society. While it is fairly clear what the purpose of your essay is, this could be further clarified by creating a clear and concise thesis statement that guides the rest of your essay. Both your introduction and your conclusion are both less descriptive than the rest of your essay. Consider using the introduction as an opportunity to give background information about the text and the conclusion as an opportunity to summarize the main points you made in the text. While you did a good job using quotes from the book, they are not typically smoothly integrated. Sometimes it is confusing how the chosen quote supports your point. There are also times in the text where you use the same quote. Consider using different quotes to support different points. There are a number of formatting and punctuation errors to be found throughout the essay. Most of these are found around citations and between paragraphs. Also, the bibliography is not properly formatted and does not include all of the necessary information. Having this paper go through a round of proofreading will help in resolving these types of issues. "
