83 years ago a tragedy began to take place in Germany Life and conditions for Jews was not easy or liveableThe need to emigrate became high People German Jews in particular were starting to see that their lies were in danger As time went on in the 1930s the existence of Jews in Germany was dangerousThe question that seems to arise often is Why didnt the German Jews just leave the country as soon as they realized their lives were in dangerSimply because the chances for most German Jews to escape was nearly impossible Furthering into the 1940s Germany began to put laws in place to ensure that the process to emigrate would be difficult and nearly impossibleIn the mid to late 1940s Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany and held all power Adolf Hitler was anti-jew he believed Jews were an inferior race His goal became to isolate them punish them and run them out of Germany Things then became not to just get them out of Germany but to kill them Ghettos and Concentration camps were set up isolate the Jews Later on Death Camps were put in place to kill the Jewish population This whole process was called The Holocaust which means whole burned which in history meant to be burned at the altarAlthough anti-semitism didnt began with Adolf Hitler he really enforced and went after this goal in an effort to create a perfect aryan race As Conditions worstened in Germany some Jews seeked options to emigrate The documents to obtain a visa which is necessary to travel outside of a countrywere virtually impossible to obtain Obtaining a Visa npag In the late 1930s obtaining a visa was over a full time job and the documents needed was extensive Over 20 documents were needed for each person to emigrate from Germany Otto Frank of the Frank family later reported I was
