Long ago on the Island of Aeolia lived a god named Zebco and his mortal wife Hurricaneous Zebco was the God of fishing The earth and mankind had just been created The earths land and water were always tranquil because the Gods were at peace with each other Zebco was a fanatical fisherman He was constantly at sea trying to catch the ever elusive big one His wife resented the weeks and sometimes months her husband spent at sea She knew he loved fishing more than he loved her One day she fell to her knees and begged Zebco please stay with me I am so lonely and childless Please do not go Since Zebco had no love for his wife he just pushed her aside He ordered wife get up and bring me my rods and reels Hurricaneous brought Zebco his tackle with her head hung low Her heart was heavy with sadness He grabbed them from her As Zebco was about to storm out the front door he turned to her and shouted I am Zebco the God of fishing I must prove my superior fishing skills to all of man and to the rest of the Gods I need to catch the largest most impressive fish to prove I am worthy to be the God of fishing Hurricaneous replied You have already caught the largest and the most fish Your duty as God of fishing is not to be the best fisherman but to guide ships to the most bountiful waters I hate you for your obsession Zebco shocked his mortal wife would dare talk to him this way shook his fist in the air and screamed This time I am leaving forever Hurricaneous wept for hours She truly loved Zebco and just wanted him to spend some time with her Hurricaneous prayed to the Gods to please help her She was so desperate and lonely She would
