The debate among raising the minimum wage has been an economic and social issue to fight poverty Raising the minimum wage for most people can be seen as a way of gaining more money to sustain living standards get a step forward from poverty level and improving the economy as they would earn more money to invest in the economy If we focus in the general outcome and pay close attention to the facts of raising the minimum wage we would conclude that there is no point in it As the minimum wage is raised the cost of living demand would increase with it There are other options that can be more useful in improving the economy For example expanding the earned income tax credit or the use of free market In other words minimum wage should not be raise it would increase the general costs of goods slows the economy and reduce employmentIn order to fight poverty the earned income tax credit EITC can be useful It focusses mainly in low income families and it helps them with their tax preparation it minimizes the amount of tax people have to pay and puts more money in the hands of the people The EITC is designed to augment income while encouraging work it gives low-income workers the relief of getting more money back Another way to fight poverty the free market is a fundamental resource It is a voluntary agreement between workers and employees that allow them to set up how the work has to be performed and what the salary would be distributed in a way that both can benefited from the accordanceOne negative effect of raising the minimum wage is that it would increase of living standards The majority of people find raising the minimum wage a beneficial way to help them deal with their living demand But we cannot support this idea due to inflation As it is expected with an increase
