In our Nation the economic structure has been through several turbulent times that saw recession The 1940s were a time of economic infancy as the New Deal mentality and the continued revitalizing of the economy was the thinking prior to 1941 when the Japanese attacked the United States America was still a largely agricultural dependent society Even though there was movement to the cities the numbers of people who where building America to become an industrial power were still moving slow enough to enable the economy to remain somewhat stabile At the onset of WWII the Nation emerged as a country that no longer had to rely on certain firms outside the country for existence The development of the country and the increasing needs of consumers for products developed jobs met substantial increases in price for goods and all the while new job markets where opening and the agricultural dependency of the Nation was slowly taking a backseat to our emergence The Nation was having to deal with the beginning of disastrous time having just survived the great depression and having to meet inflation rates of about 3 to 4 per year on average The inflation rates and the different firms pushing forward to give consumers what they wanted allowed for firms to increase the price of products in order to meet their needs During the 62-year span wages and earnings have been in constant conflict with cost for products Not only has cost to consumer been vital to the economic path of the Nation but the need for highly skilled labors who are well paid for the skills they posses still continue to lead what could be considered a long race well ahead of the majority unskilled laborer The growth of the Nation coupled by an increasing burden of national debt tax increases to bring the debt down and technology producers providing the consumer with items the person of the 1940s had
