Success may come in many different shapes and sizes depending on a persons viewpoint of life Success is a promise a commitment and in the long run a victory I believe success encompasses all types of prosperity whether prosperity means fame and fortune health and love or even a growing education and family In this class I learned there are nine steps to accomplishing ones goal and becoming successful If followed correctly these nine steps will allow you to be content and satisfied with whatever you set your mind to The first and foremost step to success is to live in the now Successful people dont dwell on what happened in the past yet embrace their mistakes learn from their errors and move on Living in the present will allow you to completely focus on whats at hand If a person is constantly recollecting issues of the past theyll stay in the past and will never move forward in life Most people including myself tend to get caught up in endless thoughts of past judgments and future choices I constantly end up losing sleep because my mind seems to be a never ending stream of future choices and thoughts of past problems When you live in the now there is a much higher chance of feeling stress free for example overthinking and stressing over something that happened last week will only pull you further into the past Living in the present improves concentration effectiveness and allows a person to actually FEEL and embrace reality The second step to success is pursuing excellence People that have goals should learn to pursue these goals with excellence and put forth 100 to what theyre doing The United States has actually lost the drive to pursue excellence and we have dropped on the scale of education and economy However in my opinion some people tend to confuse pursing excellence with perfection Instead of striving for impossible goals getting upset
