As you get to your junior year in your high school carrier you start to apply to universities out of state That is mostly every students goal to get away from home and prove they are independent and finally live on their own I did not get the opportunity to apply to these universities because I did not have the income and my parents are now older and have to support them I chose to talk about this issue because it has affected me in turning down opportunities proving that I was not a child any longer and deal with other classmates constantly telling me I did wrong in not following my dream of going to these universities When it came down to applying to these universities mostly every student was applying to I never tried applying to them because I knew I wasnt going to be able to attend them so what was the point in applying and getting my hopes up I let it go I knew deep down I could have gotten in but it all came down if I was able to afford to go to these schools I dreamed of going to I knew it was going to come down to attending community college and working myself to my dream school University of Southern California When I graduated from high school I started to get depressed because I was seeing all of my classmates packing to go out of state schools while I stayed home and attend community college I then talked to one of my neighbors who really opened my eyes and made me realize that going to community college was not so bad like I imagined he gave me hope that even though I wasnt going straight to my dream school didnt mean I wasnt going to at all I learned to overcome this problem by breaking up my goals and making a schedule to
