Metals Today I visited the JK corporation I saw the metals first It wasnt hard because there are so many of them I could identify some of them by seeing if they conducted electricity well Many of the metals were shiny which helped me notice them too There were so many metals I noticed they were divided into groups The groups were alkali metals alkaline earth metals and transition metals Next I visited the alkali metalsAlkaliThe alkali metals were in room 1 As I was walking down the hall I noticed hydrogen had its own room Earlier I thought it was part of the the alkali family I noticed that the elements in this room were very dramatic They loved to be close to each other but when someone touched them they freaked out and occasionally exploded After spending some time in the room I felt like I needed sunglasses They were so shiny I accidentally bumped into sodium and she bent so easily and freaked out After a while I had to leave that room because it was just too dangerousAlkaline Earth MetalsI thought I was getting a break from the drama when I walked into the alkaline earth metals room but I was wrong They were almost as dramatic as the alkaline metals I heard from calcium that they had a pH balence of higher than 7 After hearing that I made the connection that alkaline means basic and anything with a pH balence higher is considered basic It must be common to be shiny because these elements were shiny too They were also very brittleTransition MetalsThe first thing I notice is there are A LOT of elements There were even some celebreties such as gold silver and platinum In this room I finally got a break from all the drama these metals were much less reactive The transition metals conduct heat well I noticed the elements were also bendy I leave the
