I often wonder when will my generation stop being followers and actually make a decision for themselves but that will never happen These days you can see students at school walking down the halls texting on their phone bumping into people and running into walls like life less zombies There can be a gathering at a friend house and majority of the time you will see the TV on with everyone on their phones updating their Facebook status or following their favorite celebrity on Twitter Back in the 90s we didnt have all of this technology we actually had phone conversations and when we did communicate with one another it was face to face not bumping phones together to send a message but we wrote letters Of course you had the magazines of the perfect model with the slim figure and flawless skin that influence women to also appear that way Some even go to drastic measures by starving themselves There are Fast food commercials aimed directly towards the youth by placing their favorite celerity in there just to make sales even though Fast food is very unhealthy and contribute to obesity people still buy it The reason for that is the mass media negatively plays an important role in shaping the opinion of the youth So many kids and teens grow up watching TV and the shows that air on TV we have no type of control over Right now mostly on TV is a bunch of reality shows like Real House Wives of Atlanta Which showcase a bunch of women who is married so successful men On the show you can see women partying fighting and throwing wine on each other Another show that is popular is Jersey Shore which is displaying young adults living together performing reckless behavior such as massive partying irresponsible drinking and changing sex partners like underwear However some people
