Throughout the unit we explored a lot of concepts relating to the philosophical question of personhood and what is considered a person We got into lots of different topics and discussions and tried to understand some of the different points of views philosophers and some religions have on this idea Some of the main topics included animals as persons women as persons and also the different branches and characteristics that defined a person In the collage I created I tried to incorporate as many as these theories and ideas as I couldFor language perception sensation and emotions I provided a picture of many languages spread out some optical illusions masks that symbolize a couple of the many emotions and the five senses I chose the picture of the many languages because it represents all the different languages of the world Language is the way we communicate with each other and its what we learn through Without language we would not be able to obtain knowledge or express our ideas and emotions I chose to include pictures of optical illusions for perception because they can be perceived differently by everyone Everyones brain interprets things differently For example using one of the optical illusions I included some people may see a natives head in the picture and some may see a person wearing an Eskimo jacket entering a cave Depending on the interpretations some may notice one thing before the other which is what perception is As for emotion I incorporated a picture of 6 masks with different emotions The emotions include sadness surprise happiness disgust anger and fear which are the six primary emotions found in all cultures To some people emotion is a big part of determining whether or not someone or something is a person Lastly for sensation I decided on a picture showing the five senses which we use which are sight hearing smell taste and touchNext I looked at the branch of
