Thought Paper 5As technology advances many businesses start to post advertisement online in order to spread out the products they want to sell Companies normally put up their advertisements on free advertising website such as Craigslist I agree this is a beneficial and cheap pathway for businesses to advertise their company however some people take its advantage to conduct illegal activities for instance online sex trade Prior to the reading I think online sex trade only appears on an organized website with image and phone numbers so that people who want to look for a girl can go to that website and search for one When I am doing the reading I am shock by how the sex trade advertisements can be organized via network Since the sex trade workers or companies try their best to avoid police detection they have to make up something that does not seem like promoting sexual activities in order to hide in all other ads I think these advertisements are so creative however I think there is a chance that someone who really looking for a mentor may misunderstand the underline meaning of the ads Also teenagers are easily being exposed to these content for instance these advertisements will be shown when they type mentor in the search engine When I first read the ads on the description of sex trade workers in the reading I do not notice anything about promoting sex workers from this ad After I read the analysis of that description I felt that the companies who post these ads are so clever It seems like the advertisements actually advertise other thing for example a college student can act as a mentor to help someone So people who are willing to look for mentor can be expose to these materials automatically How can other people notice the actual meaning of an ad If the chapter of the reading does not indicate the content is about
