"This is a big subject to tackle and you address some important ideas about what makes literature unique and valuable. Consider what you want your main focus to be. Trying to address the history, impact, and evolution of literature in just a few pages may be a futile task. You might instead limit your paper to a discussion about what separates prose from poetry and drama, or how the role of literature has changed over time. Branching off into concepts such as symbolism or religious significance leaves you little time to develop your main ideas.

You write clearly and your explanations are easy to follow. You might consider avoiding giving definitions from the dictionary. Your own definition will be more interesting to the reader and make the paper feel less generic."
