According to Aristotle Happiness is the meaning and purpose of lifethe whole aim and end of human existence In my experience that istrue From the time we are young until we die we are taught to pursuehappiness When I was young I was shielded away from the world My parents wantedto preserve that childhood innocence for as long as they could Myparents gave me love and support I was brought up to be a good Catholicchristian and to always be happy My mother was a teachers aide and myfather was a bus driver and a musician They both worked very hard Thecareers they chose were not high paying but they made them happy Itgave them a sense of purpose Throughout my childhood I was molded bytheir beliefs and values I was raised with 3 dogs Eddie Cleo andTroi I found Troi when I was playing in the street She came right upto me and stayed with me for the next 16 years I used to play withher in the yard with the ball for hours Even when she was panting shestill wanted to play She gave me a lot of happy memories over theyears The pursuit of a becoming a better person makes me happy Everyday ofmy life I try to push myself to be better in all aspects of my life Ipush myself in my adventure races I always try to do harder races orobtain faster times I started doing 5ks mud races and now I have doneup to 12 mile adventure races One of the races I did was Tough MudderI had a lot of fun training for it I trained with my friend for thatrace for several months The obstacles were intense they ranged fromice water to running through live wires I also push myself in schoolso I can have a better career and a better life Even though money maynot buy happiness it does make it easier to
