Jenn's feedback:
"The content of your essay is well-developed. It has a clear purpose and you communicate your understanding of the poem by critically analyzing it. You integrate quotes well, using them to support your ideas. You have both a strong introduction and conclusion. Occasionally, transitions between sentences and paragraphs are awkward. The easy is neat and consistently formatted, helping make it easy to read. Although a style guide was not chosen, it would appear that you are attempting to adhere to MLA. If this is the case, you need to make sure that you have a right-aligned header with your last name and page number; you have your full name, professor's name, class title, and date left-aligned above the title; and a Works Cited page at the end. There are a few times in which the citations are not properly formatted at the end of sentences because periods are in the wrong place. There are a number of instances in which punctuation, grammar, and wording are incorrect. One example is: "...her attitudes towards her late father, Otto Plath and her husband, Ted Hughes, who also..." This should be written as: "...her attitudes towards her late father Otto Plath, and her husband, Ted Hughes, who also..." Another example is: "She also identified with her "gypsy ancestress", showing that she was..." This should read: "She also identified with her "gypsy ancestress," showing that she was...""
