Protection safety and hunting are all rights to have as an American especially under the Second Amendment which states we have the right to bear arms so why must we let the arms go As an American every citizen has the right to own a gun for protection safety and even hunting right for guns laws to take place as of October 1 2013 it is pretty much taking away a right of freedomImage laying in bed late at night hearing sounds downstairs trying not to second guess that your house in getting broken into you blink for one second and a man appears in your bedroom with a handgun Yet you have nothing to protect yourself you are in panic What would you do Would you fight back empty handed call the cops or try to make a sudden move to get away In a recent survey about 48 of gun owners claim that the main reason that owns a gun is for protection rights 32 have a gun for hunting purposes and 25 own a gun for other reasons In August of 1999 the survey was taken and just 26 stated they owned a gun for protection the same exact survey was taken in February of 2013 and increased 22 which brought 48 of citizens to claim they own a gun for protection The list of pros and cons could go on for days at a time if Americans feel safe or not with guns in their household but the reality of the real world is what people are not seeing these days Anything could turn in a matter of seconds a family members could go on a rampage or a neighbor you thought you were close with could suddenly turn their back on you Gun laws are very debatable but just sit back and remember guns keep not only you safe but your home safe and as well as your family
