The Hunger Games is a novel series written by Susan Collins in 2008 then in 2012 Gary Ross published a film Inglis and Stegner both define a celebritys influence over society by arguing how technology and the media shape peoples perceptions and provide a false image and hope The Hunger Games takes two people from each twelve of the districts from a totalitarian civilization called Panem The Capitol established the game for three purposes to validate the power the capitol has by taking their children to remind the districts their power is inevitable and unstoppable and to entertain the wealthy The annual hunger games is a day of judgment that happens every year the children chosen from the districts become a celebrity without even aspirant to become one They fight for their lives on live television while only one will defeat the other twenty-three The Hunger Games complement technology and the media by defining a celebritys effect on society and the districts Like Inglis and Stenger states celebrity in the hunger games had an influence over people as well as provided false hope and motivation The cameras all over the arena documented the games and the controls that effect the weather and plan all of the obstacles each child must face The hunger games differs and complicates my claim when the capitol realizes that Catniss and Peeta the two main characters are giving and promoting hope motivating the districts to attack and disobey Making celebrities have a negative impact on society By using technology and the media against the capitol they make the capitol change their game and their destiny for them by forming a fake love affair The technology in the movie documents the game by having cameras all over the arena recording every single moment television show interviewing the participants and controls over the game enforcing that they are in control of everything When the capitol rates Catniss as an 11 out
