"You show excellent control over the topic and content, allowing the reader an in-depth look grounded in detail and evidence. I am curious how present the conversation between the two works (Masco and Mitchell) should be in terms of the argument's structure and purpose, and how you define the relationship and frame (compare/contrast, lens, conversation). One element that may help enhance this early on will be to introduce each author fully (including titles of works) on first usage, asserting their presence in the essay, the role of the two texts, and your own use of them in terms of structure and ethos.

The other main area for comment is in the writing mechanics: while your flow and sentence variety do good work in creating dynamism and interest for the reader, frequent awkward diction or garbled syntax severely impact clarity. One strategy to address this is reading aloud to "hear" how the reader will experience the text, but whatever approach you take, make sure to use a thorough and careful proofread."
