The main point of promotional ads whether its a commercial or on a billboard is to promote awareness in a bold way that will snatch the viewers eye in any circumstance They may not always be appropriate but a lot of thought is put into these ads and sometimes they can be looked at with multiple views some more graphic than others Whats often looked at when making ads is the graphics text and what is going to attract the audiences eye making it unique Eventually it all comes together to make an ad that could cost millions and then be shut down a week later for being inappropriate Animal rights campaign PETA has been known to have several controversial ads including a supermodel posing in a bikini and references to the Holocaust Both images get the point across in a strong visual way however can be looked at as very inappropriate Although PETA is a non-profit organization campaigns and organizations like this must keep in mind that their ads will be available to anyone and everyone Though their message may be initiated as a wake-up call towards current events someone will always criticize them with the many views on each ad It is always taking it too far when you compare anything back to the Holocaust no matter where or what culture you are fromPETA has made a name for themselves with releasing controversial ads and many of them have been shut down before they were even made public They areobviously well aware their ad campaigns are inappropriate so why do they continue to do it Well with nearly 3 million members and supporters hypothetically they can do and say whatever they want Their approach to campaigning is very smart actually because no matter how gruesome the ad it people will always take a second look With all the attention from media and people in general their take on promotion is smart in
