Albert Einstein an inspiring and intelligent man once said Too many of us look upon Americans as dollar chasers This is a cruel libel even if it is reiterated thoughtlessly by the Americans themselves Albert Einstein was a very smart man who proved many points on all different types of situations In this quote Einstein is saying that people Americans are obsessed with only money which is true and happens everywhere People only care about how rich they are going to become or how rich they already are Many people are selfish and just in it for themselves This happens to take place in many relationships whether it involves your friend spouse or even a family member This theme is shown in the play Taming of the ShrewTo begin in Taming of the Shrew money plays a big role in relationships The Minola Family appears to be pretty wealthy all of the men that are desperate to marry the two daughters Katherina and Bianca just want a wife and the money In Act I scene II Petruchio says to Hortensio I come to wive it wealthy in Padua If wealthily then happily in Padua Petruchio is saying I come to marry the rich in Padua If I am rich then I am happy in Padua The only way he will become rich is if he marries someone like Katherinas to engage in familys wealth Petruchio is only into Katherina for the money portion of the relationship Grumio Petruchios servant responds to his plan by saying Nothing comes amiss so money comes withal Meaning nothing matters money comes along anyways Also meaning that it doesnt matter what her personality is like or anything involving that he is just in for the money and so is the family whichever money that they inherit from Petruchio alsoSecond the role that money also plays in relationships can turn into a problem Involves jealousy selfishness and some may seem
