Should United States drop a bomb in Syria This has been the biggest issue on the news of Americans and Russians for the past week There are two opinions and each side wants to persuade their opinion to everybody else Susan Ricethe National Security Advisorsays that we as Americans must respond by dropping a bomb On the other hand Russian leader Vladimir Putin says that we must avoid force and not drop a bomb in Syria Susan Rice tries to persuade her audience by appealing to the audiences emotions when she says those little children laying on the ground their eyes glossy their bodies twitching Vladimir Putin tries to persuade his argument by getting deep into Americans feelings when he saida strike would increase violence and unleash a new wave of terrorism Susan Rice has made a more skillful and persuading argument with pathos and logos however I agree with Putin because dropping a bomb would worsen the situation in Syria Susan Rice had her own argument that she tried persuading people through the newspaper She argued that we must respond by dropping a bomb because if not more Syrians will die from Assads poisonous stockpiles Her purpose of the speech was to explain how chemical weapons used by Syria are a threat to United States and National Security Also her purpose was to explain why it is in our national interest to undertake limited military action to deter future use Her intended audience is everyone that does not want to take action on Syria She wants her audience to understand why they have to help Syrians Susan Rice used many pathos appeals that appealed to her audiences emotions Her most effective quote was innocent civilians were jolted awake choking on poison This appeals to audiences emotions because people are choking on poison which is a sad situation She showed logos appeal by stating more than 1400 were dead-more than 400 of them children This
