Would you guess that ones reach to stardom would soon take its downfall on them Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann is a book about three woman who reach fame but instantly find the downfalls of being famous In the article A Book About Bad Decisions Lisa Shea states that the main characters Anne Jennifer and Neelys lives are damaged because of the choices they make in finding the perfect man due to their recent fame and we dont feel bad for what they did She states that all three women are not bright use their bodies to get what they want and they use their men to help them invest their moneyI agree with Sheas thesis The decisions that all three of these girls made were not the brightest and most thought out They made themselves seem unintelligent and we can see that by how the decisions they made impacted them Not many people including myself can feel sorry about someone who doesnt work hard and uses their looks to get what they want This is what the characters did and it makes me not feel sorry for them whatsoever Lastly someone should work hard for their earnings and when they earn it they should feel rewarded in which case these women do not when they just turn over their money to their men to invest inAll girls arent stupid but these three girls make a lot of girls look unintelligent with the decisions they made for themselves Jennifer who is insomniac due to stress and smoking leads her to using titular Also finding a man that only loved her for her body forced her to commit suicide Annes continued on and off relationships with Kevin Gillmore and Lyon Burke stress her throughout the story along with learning about Lyons infidelity she uses pills to sleep as well Neelys dependence on pills such as uppers and barbiturates spirals her life downwards Its hard
