The biggest evolutionary downfall in humans is the urge to act rather then rationalizes through talking All throughout history there has been on going occurrences of conflict that people seem to only resolve by actions Taking action does not seem like a very hard decision to make in a situation It is a natural instinct that is very important in nature It is a characteristic that all mammals have Which is if someone becomes threating to you it is only natural that you retaliate back but the outcome of this never renders any good Retaliating could be justified as right or wrong but it only breeds impulsive reactions with unknown consequences If one was to look at America and the history behind all the wars that have been fought impulsive reactions are a constatnt element As in the year 1941 when the Japanese Imperial Navy lead a surprise attack on the United States Naval base in Pearl Harbor Hawaii It caught America off guard and much that the only way to protect the citizens was by dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima Eyewitness 4 No treaty was ever written out and signed only revenge and bloodshed occurred Although many Americans had lost their lives it doesnt justify an even larger attack on the enemies If there had been a discussion about a treaty between the two countries maybe an agreement could have been made and there would have been no usage of nuclear weapons It is baffling how humans act upon impulse and natural instincts without contemplating the effects If people were to talk out and try to resolve issues verbally there would be no more physical altercations Beowulf the so-called hero has to unjustly murder a native land-dweller named Grendel in order to bring peace and tranquility to Heorot once again In Seamus Heaneys new translation of Beowulf the poem briefly mentions how Grendel is this hideous monster and is one of Cains outcasts
