On September 11 2002 the United States became victim to Al-Qaedas terrorist attack The attack caused the loss of 3000 men women and children Only time will tell what Saddam Hussein plans on doing with his current production of nuclear weapons Former president Clinton said it well Hussein has the weapons and he will use them With Husseins growing rage towards the United States the weapons which he possesses become a threat to the American nation As president George Bush clearly states A pre-emptive attack on Iraq will allow special weapons investigations to be pursued on Iraq territory which in turn will prevent Saddam Hussein from bringing another World Trade Centre event to America However Hussein not only has revenge from the Gulf War on his mind Investigations have shown that Husseins plans also include the invading of the Middle Eastern countries in turn gaining possession on the worlds largest oil reserves These reserves account for approximately 45 of all oil imported to America This can lead to a position of nuclear blackmail for North America quotes vice president Cheney To further the assumptions of the UN and president Bush Iraq has been finding ways to get around the conditions agreed upon by Iraq and the UN after the Gulf War by placing weapons in areas such as Provincial Palaces hospitals and schools President Bush states Iraq has found its way around the regulations of the UN Gulf War Treaty These conditions must be re-written to prevent this Iraq known for its hostility must be prevented from causing acts of terrorism possible taking control of oil reserves in the Middle East and getting away with it because he works around the post Gulf War conditions Since the WTC buildings came down in 2001 the United States has put a tremendous amount of money into protecting themselves from being the target from another terrorist attack Recently information has shown that Saddam Hussein is threatening
