About 56 coffee colored complexion hair braided with pink and green extensions wearing tight shorts and a tank-top with bearing shoes as well as knee length colorful pattern socks there a lady stood before my eyes I intensely observed this lady while in Wal-Mart the first thing that came to my mind was this girl is so ghetto forgetting the true meaning of what ghetto is See ghetto is a noun that originated in Venice in the Jewish quarters where Jews where forced to live back in the 15th hundredths When ghetto is used around certain people specifically people of Jewish descent their immediate thought goes to the Jewish people because they were forced to live in a ghetto and had their rights stripped away This all happened during World War two when Germany invaded Poland and forced the Jews into their own secluded area that separated them from other people who were not Jewish This is when the word ghetto came back into use There the Jews were forced into inhumane conditions stuffed inside homes that contained multiple Jewish families There they would live until they were hauled off into their new home which would be the work camps where they suffered the unimaginableThere stood the colorful lady with her pink and green weave waiting in the check out line with a cart full of groceries talking excessively and loudly on her cellphone as well as popping her gum and looking through a magazine Her ability to multitask was astonishing she was like a live circus act She was generating a lot of stares from others in her line and also in the line I was in stares which showed annoyance and anger Ghetto a noun where a quarter of a city in which a group of minorities live due to social economic and sometimes legal pressure Nowadays ghettos are generally associated with Africans Americans because African Americans make up majority
