It was just a typical summer day in my small town of Stuttgart You could see for miles if you gazed down the acres and acres of farmland filled with growing beans and wheat mosquitos were buzzing through the hot summer air and you could even experience the rewarding emotion of no school for a little more than two whole months Summer was upon us and everyone around us knew exactly what that meant parties riding down the gravel roads with the breeze blowing through your hair and going to the lake with family and friends Everything was going wonderful all through what I thought was going to be the best summer of my entire lifeThe summer of 2009 made me one of the busiest out of all my friends yet I still found time to hang out with them and enjoy everything that was going in the right direction My busy summer began at Arkansas Girls State then I attended my schools yearly summer cheer camp and finally Delta Beta Sigma National Convention in Nashville Tennessee Delta Beta Sigma brought most of my friends together to organize charity events and even help out around the community National Convention was just an excuse for us to get together with the girls from all the different chapters around the entire South and become even closer with girls within our own chapter Throughout the convention I began to get closer and closer to one of my good friends Courtney Burlison Courtney was one of those girls that never cared what others thought of her She was her own person that knew who she was and no one could change her I definitely admired that about Courtney which is one of the reason I became very good friends with her during the convention Not all girls enjoyed convention as much as others but with Courtney there she always
