One individual pill caused one individual person to have one individualfantasy Both Dr Elton and Gerald Bocek fell under the influence of theyellow pill The yellow pill caused characters to become unaware of whatwas present and provided them with a dream like fantasy that was theopposite of reality The medication in this story caused them to seewhat would occur in space and it hid the definite setting of EarthThroughout the story Gerald gave hints that he was aware of the aspectsthat would be on Earth Gerald made it obvious that what would have beengear lockers in space were actually policemen on Earth Doctor Eltonasked Gerald Were would you get a gun He replied saying In thegear lockers Phillips 1 The policemen had utility belts which heldsuch weapons Evidence also showed that Gerald was fully aware of whatwould be there as he understood things the same way that Dr Elton didWhen he returned to Dr Eltons office for another appointment he didnot know what he was talking about at first but the story statesToward the end Gerald was able to finish the descriptions of thingswith very little error2 Although he did not state he was on Earthhe was fully aware of his surroundingsThe yellow pill caused a person to think that he or she was in spaceinstead of on Earth Dr Elton talked to Helena and he explained Oneof the characters in a dream world takes a yellow pill and discovers itdoesnt exist at all except as a fantasy3 Therefore when peoplefrom earth take a yellow pill he or she would see what would occur inspace Dr Elton took a yellow pill towards the end of the story andtold Gerald Forget that I took a yellow pill Im back to normalagain 4 Dr Elton or Gar acted as though he switched placeswith Gerald and saw and understood what would occur in space Thisevidence was also proven when Gerald said I know what I did nowIts terrible
