It is true that everyone in life needs some sort of hobby Whether it is something as small as stamp collecting or if it were as large as cars everyone has a hobby of some kind But what if you became so obsessed with your hobby that you would use it as an escape from reality Would you still be able to function normally That said was Theodore Roosevelt just an average hunter or did he use hunting as an escape from the reality of Presidency Theodore Roosevelt born October 27th 1858 was the 26th President of the United States of America Theodore was appointed to this marvelous position after President William McKinley had been assassinated At the age of only 42 Theodore Roosevelt had become the youngest man ever to become the President This wasnt the only unusual event in Roosevelts life Unlike other Presidents before Theodore he had quite the passion for hunting Not any specific types or breed of animal just hunting in general Theodore didnt stay close to the White House when he did hunt He traveled all over in search of game including Colorado the Dakota Territory and Maine Teddy Roosevelt first began his love for hunting when he was only 14 At this time period many purchased guns for self-defense purposes not for hunting But Teddy had quite the passion for target shooting skeet shooting and wild game hunting like many other males in the human race Ever since Teddy received his first gun a double-barreled shotgun he blatantly showed his love for hunting by chasing down wild game and then killing the animal Some people would say this type of behavior is normal for a boy this age since it is still the age group that could be considered the imagination period However his obsession becomes even more of an issue upon graduation from college when Teddy and his brother Elliott went on a hunting
