Bridget's feedback:
"This is a well-written and well-organized piece of writing. The purpose and rhetorical situation remains somewhat mysterious, which can limit your audience and how persuasive the essay ultimately is. What are the givens of this paper? Check your prompt and assignment details for what qualifies as appropriate evidence. (I am thinking, in particular, of the reference to Cayce.) In terms of your own "personal theory," help the reader understand what you are building on using citations. Otherwise, the claim in para. 2, sentence 1, doesn't bear out."
