Our brains have the capacity to store and retrieve information that we learn throughout our lives The things we learn can range from all the characters in Star Trek to knowing all the capitals of the countries in Western Europe Learning about the birds and the bees is just as important as learning any other piece of information If one chooses to engage in sex they need to know that bees carry pollen to flowers and that birds lay eggs Both of these are natural processes however the birds and the bees dont have to worry about sexually transmitted infections HIV or teenage pregnancy Learning about sex isnt meant to provoke us to have sex but instead shield us as much as it can from some of the negative consequences if one chooses to make that life choice Many believe sex education is only about sex but there is more to it than just the obvious Sex education is a term used to describe education about human sexual anatomy sexual reproduction sexual intercourse reproductive health emotional relations reproductive rights abstinence contraception and more Sex education has all of their bases loaded with information ready to educate Many parents cringe when thinking about their children having sex Sex is a complicated matter Easy to have but much thought needs to be given in order to be safe when if you start having sex Engaging in sex in this generation is starting to become a trend More and more teenagers are doing it More disease More babies Were these children not informed enough about disease and pregnancy I wonder what our generation would be like if we had had separate classes that taught strictly sex education Many public schools have health classes that only briefly touch on sex education Some schools teach nothing about sex because of parent demands Are parents the cause of the increasing rate of teenagers with children or HIV Are schools Are
