Assimilation definition fitting in Assimilation definition accepting the differences between us Before I answer the question there are many layers to it The definition the impacts My definition is different I think fitting in means accepting our differences and that is how we fit in the aboriginal people had to fit in and it was wrong which would make me say no we shouldnt fit in but that is only one bias It all depends but I am going to talk about my definition of fitting in we should all fit in by accepting each others cultures so the aboriginal people are not discriminated Shannen was forced to assimilate because she want able to get her school and the government was trying to make her assimilate definition 1 by not allowing her to get her school They were forcing her to stay in the portables She was forced to live in with her environment that wasnt comfortable to her We have seen and understood the consequences of forced assimilation definition 1 It caused a lot of trouble and even when the government apologized we knew right away something wasnt right It did not sound like Steven was saying this as if he meant it It sounded rehearsed and not meaningful On the other side definition 2 of fitting in if we all fit in by accepting each other and lived like that there wouldnt be this many arguments My final answer is YES We should all fit in by definition 2Yes we should all fit in because my definition of fitting in is that not everyone fits in but we accept that they dont fit in the aboriginals have a different culture so they dont fit in but if we accept that then we can all fit in this may sound confusing however if you think about a friend They may like something that you dont but arent we told
