The tragedy at the Boston Massachusetts Marathon on April 15th 2013 was absolutely heart shattering Two bombs went off approximately 20 seconds apart one at the finish line and one a street over Shortly after the bombs raptured the police told the public that 2 people had been killed and over 100 were terribly injured Many of the witnesses explained the injuries to be similar to the ones an average American would see in pictures after an explosion in the military Later the death toll rose to three one of those being an 8 year old boy and the number of injured rose to over 140 and were all hospitalized There was an explosion at the JFK Library shortly after the first two bombs but later was considered not part of the marathon explosions and was caused by a fire The FBI is still trying to figure out who is responsible for this horrific event Rumors are spreading and some people are cutting quickly to conclusions There are graphic images on the internet from the event but it doesnt only show the victims and their wounds there are many people helping them policemen security and even considerate citizens What if this was to have happened in a place with less witnesses and security less people to help them Without those people helping them out the death toll would be much higher because of the many people who lost limbs and could have bled to death They all worked together and cooperated with each other to care for the hurt They didnt know if those were going to be the only bombs to go off they knew the risk they were still part of yet they ceased hesitation and quickly accompanied the wounded Dave Able a Boston Globe reporter said I could see one woman staring vacantly into the sky I could see a lot of mangled limbs a lot of blood
