In 2007 Fayes 17 year old daughter Autumn was late for curfew Worried Faye starts to look for Autumn Faye calls up some of Autumns friends and finds out where she isWhen Faye goes to where Autumn is she knocks on the door but no one answers even though They peeped out the window She knows something is terribly wrong and immediately calls the police The police get inside the house and find Autumn on the floor unresponsive The police call the ambulance When the paramedics get there they try to wake her up with smelling salts but Autumn does not budge She is immediately taken to the hospital where they give her an intravenous drip Autumn eventually wakes up after some time Faye is informed that her daughter is lucky to be alive and could have died from alcohol poisoning This is just one of the reckless things that Autumn has done Autumn along with many other teens are considered reckless and for the purpose of this speech reckless is going to be doing things without thinking of the results that can happen 109 of teens in America believe that they have about a 5050 shot of making it to their 35th birthday according to Time This could be one of the possible causes as to why teens behave recklessly Since some teens believe that they arent going to live for long they are more tempted to make life threatening choices such as violent fights and taking part in sexual activities with numerous partners This is just one of the possible causes as to why teenagers act reckless Faye believes that the reason Autumn was reckless was for her choices in friends Autumns friends were a bad crowd her grades started to drop and it turned out that her friends were the same way So basically Autumns cause for her reckless behavior was peer influence but that doesnt mean that peer influence is
