Many musicians today use vulgar language in their songs Some artist use more vulgar language than others but swear words can be found in almost every form of music Musicians want their audiences to relate to what they are saying and the best way to do that is by talking like them For instance country singers sing about that damn son of a bitch Ford truck that aint working and rap artist sing about busting a cap on that niggers ass Some people dont want to hear these vulgar words however it is important that these songs are censored on the radio and have censored versions of their albums People want to hear the popular songs when they listen to the radio yet many of these hit songs contain explicit lyrics For example the song My Name Is by Eminem contains many swear words and degrading remarks towards women Many people dont want to hear these bad words but still want to listen to the song Censorship is an important role for the radio stations because it allows everyone to enjoy the music Another reason that there must be censorship is to keep kids from hearing explicit language At any time a kid could turn on a radio and listen to music and it would be unacceptable if the music wasnt censored There is no lock on radios and anybody can get access to radio stations so we must censor the words by skipping the bad words or replacing them with a beep If somebody really likes a song they dont want to wait for hours for it to come around on the radio so they buy albums Musicians are in the business to make money and in order for them to do that they have to sell albums Many people wont buy an album containing explicit lyrics because they dont want to hear it and they dont want their kids to hear it Fortunately
