Our main concern then and which remains today is to have a reasonable guarantee that the rugged beauty and serenity of the area be kept intact We provided for the road to be kept in suitable fashion a class of building structures be adhered to and hopefully allow a friendly neighborhood environment to be maintained One not dominated by any single entity It hardly seems fair for someone to use our organization and its benefits only when it suits them then skip out when it doesnt We feel the proposed change would destroy the neighborhood as we presently know it The petitioners and anyone else of prudence should agree that in all probability some realtor would never have shown them their home site were it not for the subdivision name the neighborhood protection that the association rules provide and of course yes the access road to their scenic home sites Indeed in all practicality neither of the petitioners homes would have been built at all without utilizing the access road through the neighborhood All this for the miserly cost of a couple of loads of gravel every few years Since it seems that this would be a meager cost to pay even for a possible emergency access to their properties one would have to assume that there is more to the story than is outlined in their letter of Sept 16 2002 The concerns that we and Im sure others in the association have is that if any individual withdraws from the pact then the pact is broken and all our efforts over the years have been in vain If one goes then we could all go land use anarchy would ensue and property values would undoubtedly suffer There are were sure several others in the past that could have sold their properties for other uses Weve had at least three offers ourselves Consider this The type and quality of building requirements would be out
